There are two options on how to create a new Credit Note.

Option 1: Create New Credit

Step 1
Go to SALES, then click on Credit Notes.
Click on Create New Credit.

Step 2: Select the order, then click on its corresponding Credit button.

Step 3: Update the Return Date and Return Notes as needed.

Step 4: Make the necessary changes on Credit Qty and Credit Price.

Step 5
SAVE & CLOSE AS PARKED Save the Credit/Return Order as Parked
SAVE & CLOSE AS SUBMITTED Save the Credit/Return Order as Submitted
PRINT AND SAVE & CLOSE AS SUBMITTED Save the Credit/Return Order as Submitted at the same time downloads the Credit Note PDF
EMAIL AND SAVE & CLOSE AS SUBMITTED Save the Credit/Return Order as Submitted at the same time sends a copy to your email

Save & Close as Parked

Credit Note saved as Parked can still be updated and deleted as needed by clicking on its Edit and Delete button respectively.

Save & Close as Submitted

The options to download Credit Note PDF and Send Credit Note Email appears when Credit Note has been saved as Submitted.

Step 6: Select the Submitted Credit Note, then click on its Apply button.

Step 7
Select the invoice, then click on its corresponding amount where credit will be applied.
Enter Notes as needed.

Step 8: Click on Apply or Apply & Close once done.

Partial Credit

Total Credit Amount can be applied to multiple invoices.

Notification appears once Credit Note has been applied.

Credit Notes Visible to Customers

OrderTron Support must be informed if you need to enable Credit Notes for your Customers. Customers will see Credit Notes on their web and mobile apps once enabled.

Option 2: Completed Order – Return

Step 1
Go to SALES, then click on Manage Orders.
Select the Completed order, then click on its View button.

Step 2: Click on Return.

Step 3: Click on OK.

Step 4: Make the necessary changes on Credit Qty and Credit Price.

Step 5
Tick on Return checkbox corresponding to the product. This will return the Credit Qty to the product’s inventory. Only products with enabled Inventory will have the Return checkbox.
Click on Batch | Bin to update its Batch Number and Bin Location as needed.

Step 6: Update its Quantity and Bin Location.

Step 7
SAVE & CLOSE AS PARKED Save the Credit/Return Order as Parked
SAVE & CLOSE AS SUBMITTED Save the Credit/Return Order as Submitted
PRINT AND SAVE & CLOSE AS SUBMITTED Save the Credit/Return Order as Submitted at the same time downloads the Credit Note PDF
EMAIL AND SAVE & CLOSE AS SUBMITTED Save the Credit/Return Order as Submitted at the same time sends a copy to your email
